Install

Six steps and you are editing.

  1. Download

    Click Download for Mac above. The file is a standard Mac disk image (a .dmg).

  2. Open the DMG

    Double-click the downloaded file in your Downloads folder.

  3. Drag to Applications

    Drag ReelEditor onto the Applications folder in the window that opens.

  4. Open ReelEditor

    Open it from Applications or Launchpad. The first time, macOS asks to confirm that you want to open it.

  5. Try it free, or buy

    One click starts the 3-day trial: no card, no key. When you buy, right there in the app, it activates itself.

  6. Connect Claude

    The guided setup connects your Claude account. Then add your first clips.

Bought here on the website? After paying, click Open ReelEditor on the thank-you screen and it activates itself. On another Mac, choose Already bought? Enter your key and paste the key from your receipt email.

Troubleshooting

My Mac says ReelEditor can't be opened

ReelEditor is signed and notarized by Apple, so this shouldn't happen. If it does, open Applications in Finder, right-click ReelEditor, choose Open, and confirm. You only need to do this once.

The download won't open, or says it isn't supported

This build is for Macs with Apple silicon on macOS 15 (Sequoia) or later. To check your Mac, open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac.

My licence key isn't accepted

Copy the key straight from your receipt email, without spaces at either end. A licence works on 2 Macs, so if it says the limit is reached, tell us and we will help. Write to support@reeleditor.ai.

The setup can't connect to Claude

ReelEditor needs your own Claude account on a Pro or Max plan, or an Anthropic API key. If setup still fails, write to support@reeleditor.ai and tell us which step.
