The short version. You subscribe yearly to use ReelEditor on up to 2 of your Macs; it renews until you cancel, which you can do any time. You own the videos you make. Don't resell or share the app or your key. The app is provided as is. Your Claude account is between you and Anthropic.
1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Danial Qureshi, operating as ReelEditor, of Toronto, Ontario, Canada (“we”, “us”), the maker of ReelEditor (the “App”), sold at reeleditor.ai. By installing or using the App, or by buying a licence, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the App.
2. Your licence
When you buy, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the App on up to 2 Macs that you own or control, for the licence period. Your licence runs while your yearly subscription is active. A free trial lasts 3 days and needs no payment details.
The licence is per user. It is for you, not your team, employer or clients as a group. If more than one person needs the App, each needs their own licence.
3. Your subscription, and what happens when it ends
ReelEditor is sold as a yearly subscription through Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and merchant of record. It renews automatically each year at the price shown at checkout until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the App (Manage subscription) or the link in your receipt email (Lemon Squeezy’s customer portal); it then keeps working until the end of the year you paid for, and you are not charged again. Your subscription includes every update released while it is active. Lemon Squeezy emails you a receipt for each payment, and you can get a full refund within 7 days of any payment, renewals included (see Refunds).
When a licence expires, the App still opens. You can still watch, export and send the videos you already made. Making new edits needs an active licence.
4. What you may not do
- Copy, resell, rent, lend, sublicense or otherwise redistribute the App or your licence key.
- Share your key beyond your 2 Macs, or publish it.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the App, except where the law lets you do so despite this limit or where an open-source component’s own licence says otherwise (see Open source).
- Remove or bypass the licence checks.
- Use the App to break the law or someone else’s rights.
5. Your content
You keep all rights in your clips, scripts and the videos you make with the App. You are responsible for having the right to use anything you put in them, including music, photos, screenshots and logos. We don’t claim ownership of your content and we don’t receive your videos.
6. Your Claude / Anthropic account
The App uses Claude to plan and make edits. To use that, you need your own Claude account (Claude Pro or Max) or an Anthropic API key. Your use of Claude and the Anthropic service is governed by Anthropic’s own terms and policies, and you pay Anthropic directly. We are not part of that agreement and are not responsible for Anthropic’s service, its availability, its limits or its charges. What the App sends to Anthropic is described in our Privacy page.
7. Other services
If you connect optional services (such as ElevenLabs, Instagram or Google Drive), your use of them is governed by their own terms. Instagram, TikTok and other platforms have rules about what you post. Following them is up to you.
8. Updates and changes to the App
We may change, fix or improve the App. During an active licence you get the updates we release. We may stop supporting old versions of macOS.
9. No warranty
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the App will be error-free, that every edit will be what you wanted, or that it will work with every Mac, clip or version of Claude. AI-made edits can be wrong. Review your videos before you post them.
10. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim. Some places don’t allow these limits, and then they apply only as far as the law permits.
11. Ending the agreement
You can stop using the App at any time. We may end your licence if you break these terms. Refunds are covered in our refund policy.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, and disputes will be handled in the courts of Toronto, Ontario, unless the law of your place of residence says otherwise.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make a material change we will tell you on this site or in the App. Using the App after the change means you accept it.
